Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park is a stunning 25-acre park located just north of the University of Tampa and across the Hillsborough River from the David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts. The park is filled with tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, various water playgrounds, a dog park, and a boat house for competitions and events.

 

 

 

 

A 360-degree bar makes a great place to watch the sunset. It shares space with Tampa Bay Water Bikes, Urban Kai Stand-up Paddleboarding, and e-Boats Tampa for those who want to get out onto the water. Whatever children love to do – dress up, climb high, make art, build things -- this museum on downtown’s central Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is a trove of kid-friendly treasures. The brightly colored three-story building contains plenty to entertain the elementary school set and educate them at the same time.

 

 

 

 

There is no better view of downtown than from the covered plaza in front of the Tampa Museum of Art. The Riverwalk Café’s thoroughly modern menu includes many vegetarian options in a setting that inspires, both inside and outside. The museum houses a collection ranging from ancient Greek and Roman to Pop Art legend Roy Lichtenstein.

 

 

 

 

Opened in 2014 on the banks of the Hillsborough River, Ulele features a menu inspired by Tampa Bay’s early native and Spanish explorers. The restaurant also includes its own craft brewery. Ulele was created by Tampa Bay’s Gonzmart family, now in their fifth generation as owners of the Columbia, Florida’s oldest restaurant.

 

 

 

 

The northern end of the Tampa Riverwalk, this part includes a concert shell, splash pad and waterfront views of the Hillsborough River and restored Ulele spring.
