The Hub at Lexington in Wesley Chapel: What's Open and When to Go

A light-clad home's covered porch at blue hour, with closed glazed entry, woven chair and a dwarf palmetto beside the concrete approach.

At the southwest corner of Wesley Chapel Boulevard and Lexington Oaks Boulevard, in front of the Sentosa apartments, nine artificial trees shade a large open gathering area. When Neighborhood News first described the project in November 2023, the plan called for 12 of those trees, along with covered outdoor seating. The count changed along the way. The idea stayed the same: a shared outdoor space with businesses arranged around it.

That design matters because of the order the tenants have opened in. First came a barber, a golf simulator, a pet store and a bistro. Next came Korean fried chicken, bowls, pastries and cinnamon rolls. Several restaurants that would keep the plaza busy on weeknights are still listed as coming. Right now, on the third Friday of each month, a night market is what fills the space under those trees.

A Plaza With Six Buildings Around It

The Hub at Lexington is a 40,000-square-foot center made up of six buildings. It's being developed by Courtney Bissett-Hayes and her brother Paul Bissett of Center Connect Development. The center's tagline is "Sip, Savor and Socialize." The May preview in Neighborhood News described plans for events, some with live music, centered on the artificial trees. You'll see two names for it. Some listings say The Hub at Lexington and some say The Hub at Lexington Oaks. The event address is 26967 Halter Loop.

Most of the addresses around the Wesley Chapel Boulevard corridor are pad sites. You park in front of one business and leave when you're done. The Hub is laid out so that a haircut, a coffee and an hour on a simulated golf course can share the same parking spot. Whether it works that way depends on which doors are open, so here's the order they opened in.

How the Doors Opened, in Order

  1. By May 12. Headlines Barber Shop, at 27053 Halter Loop, was the first tenant to open. La Creacion Bistro was the first restaurant. By the May 12 Neighborhood News report, The Clubhouse Golf Simulator had been open for a couple of weeks, and Pet Wants had just opened.
  2. May 20. Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken opened and began serving customers. Lexington Nail Lab, at 27105 Halter Loop next to Bonchon, was serving clients by late May.
  3. July 20. Hummus Republic opened at 26962 Halter Loop.
  4. August 17. Farmer's Milk Café & Bakery opened at 27049 Halter Loop.
  5. August 21. Cinnaholic held its opening celebration at 27145 Halter Loop.
  6. September 18. The Friday Moonlight Market was scheduled for its grand opening.

Notice what's missing. Up to now, The Hub has added things to do, places to grab something quick and places for dessert. The sit-down dinner tenants are mostly still coming.

What Already Fills an Evening

The Clubhouse Golf Simulator is the clearest example of the center's linger-longer design. Brothers Mark and Tyler Ward, both Wesley Chapel High grads, own it. By May, more than 200 people had come in to try it, and several had signed up for memberships. The simulator can play courses from Augusta National to Heritage Isles Country Club, and local PGA teaching pros are available for lessons.

"Plus, it's better than playing four hours in this Florida heat." Mark Ward, to Neighborhood News

As of May, The Clubhouse's beer and wine license was "coming very soon." Snacks and soft drinks were for sale, and guests could bring their own beer and food in the meantime. Call ahead to check the current policy, since that was the status in spring.

Farmer's Milk Café & Bakery is the brand's second Florida location, following its original in Hollywood. It serves Eastern European-inspired food, and fresh farm milk goes into the coffee, desserts, pastries and breakfast menu. That's So Tampa described it as a Ukrainian-style café, and nothing else in the immediate Wesley Chapel area is quite like it.

Hummus Republic is a California-based build-your-own Mediterranean chain founded in 2012 by Nir Giat, with 50-plus locations in 17 states. Owners Annu and Ashish Kumar run the Wesley Chapel franchise. You choose a base, such as kale, Mediterranean couscous, warm garbanzo beans or yellow rice. Proteins include lemon chicken, chicken shawarma, beef and lamb gyro, falafel and shiitake mushroom shawarma. It's one of two newer bowl options nearby. The first Wesley Chapel-area CAVA opened in the former MOD Pizza spot on the south side of SR 56.

Bonchon brings Korean fried chicken to the plaza. Cinnaholic is the Berkeley-born cinnamon roll chain with 20 frosting flavors and best-sellers like "Cookie Monster" and "Campfire S'Mores." It also has a location on South Howard Avenue in Tampa.

The errand stops round out a visit. Pet Wants is run by franchise owner Nickole Davis, who previously owned All Good Things Gifts in the KRATEs. It sells fresh dog and cat food, natural chews and its own "Natural Spaw" products. Headlines Barber Shop is a local chain with about a dozen Tampa Bay-area locations. If you drive a Tesla, Suncoast Charging's location page lists four Superchargers at the Hub at Lexington Oaks, open 24 hours. That could easily account for 20 minutes of your stay.

The Dinner Tenants Still Pending

These are the tenants that would keep the plaza busy on a regular Tuesday. As of early October 2026, none of them had a dated public confirmation of opening that we could find:

  • Saigon Pho. It's owned by the team behind Banh Mi at The Hub at Bexley. The target was sometime in July. Its status was still listed as "Targeting July" in late May.
  • Island Grill. This is a Caribbean fusion concept. As of July 3, it was still described as incoming, with menu details being finalized.
  • The Monk's Desi-Chinese Indian Fusion Cuisine. It was listed as "Coming soon" in late May.
  • Brew Bar Self Pour and Urban Crunch Creamery Café. The two are combining into one space. As of mid-July, the space was in fit-out, with opening expected in the back half of 2026. Brew Bar's own page still says its Lexington Hub location is coming soon. Urban Crunch's page for the location shows a "WE ARE Open" banner. Check both before you go.

A self-pour beer bar next to a creamery would bring the plaza an evening drink option for adults and a dessert stop for kids in the same room. Until it opens, the main evening draw is the monthly market.

Third Fridays Fill the Plaza

The Friday Moonlight Market is organized by Florida Penguin Productions. It runs every third Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at 26967 Halter Loop. The organizer announced the series by saying "Lexington Oaks is officially open." The Eventbrite listing promises vendors, music and food, and describes it as family-friendly and pet-friendly. The organizer is recruiting vendors that suit a nighttime market, along with activities and community sponsors.

The grand opening was set for September 18, and North Tampa Buzz listed it in that day's events calendar. Following the third-Friday schedule, the rest of 2026 looks like this:

Date Time Next morning
Friday, October 16 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, October 17
Friday, November 20 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 21
Friday, December 18 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, December 19

The organizer posts the recurring schedule rather than a dated calendar, so check its Facebook event before you head over.

The pet-friendly label fits the center. Pet Wants is a few doors from the market, and the shaded common area was designed for exactly this kind of gathering. The market uses the space the way the center was planned.

Friday, October 16, Start to Finish

  1. Get there before 5 p.m. If you have a Tesla, plug in at one of the four Superchargers first.
  2. Book an hour at The Clubhouse for sunset golf without the heat.
  3. Walk the market once the vendors set up at 5.
  4. Eat dinner from the plaza's current lineup: Bonchon, Hummus Republic or La Creacion Bistro.
  5. Finish at Cinnaholic, and pick up something from Farmer's Milk for Saturday breakfast if it's still open.

If you'd rather stay closer to the boulevard, 1916 Irish Pub was open by July 18 at 27315 Wesley Chapel Boulevard at Old Pasco Road, in the former Beef O'Brady's spot.
